Climate change is happening faster than a lot of us have anticipated. Different parts of the world are experiencing erratic bouts of various dangerous weather conditions, without having planned properly for these phenomena. Having to deal with an unforeseen typhoon, volcano or even wildfire, can be an extremely difficult task. Not being well prepared could leave your family traumatized and feeling helpless. Furthermore, even if you have an evacuation plan set in place, protecting your personal property is also something that should be of great concern during times like these.
The Challenge of Dealing with Unforeseen Natural Disasters
The damage of certain natural disasters is unavoidable, regardless of how well we prepare for them. However, there are certain natural disasters such as wildfires, where we can protect ourselves and our property from any damage. Inventor Paul Davis had experienced many different forms of extreme weather conditions during his childhood in Manilla, Philippines, one of which included a hectic typhoon. Later, he decided to move to the Caribbean only to further experience four different Category 5 storms throughout the years which he lived there. He had even experienced damage and loss due to an uncontrollable fire close-by to his property.
Aside from his own traumatic experiences, Paul noticed the damage that wildfires are causing in the West, and the number of lives they have ruined throughout the years. Sharing a similar loss in his own life, he resonated deeply on an emotional level to those who have lost their loved ones and property due to a fire. Professional firefighters help to do bulk of the work when it comes to keeping forest fires under control, however, communities still lack the level of protection that they need to safeguard their families and properties from eventual damage.
Unfortunately, this could not be done due to the lack of equipment needed to control these fires. This is what inspired Paul to create an innovative invention called the Fire Safe Fountain!
Fire Safe Fountain – How Does it Work?
This life-saving invention contains a piping system that is connected to a pump running under high-pressure which pulls the water from an adjoining tank. The pump pumps out water creating a wall of water which surrounds your property or your home during a wildfire. The best part is that you don’t even have to stress about electricity supply for the Fire Safe Fountain. The pump can retrieve its energy off a battery bank. The invention also contains thermo-sensors which detects heat so that you can be alerted of any nearby forest fires in the area. The invention is aimed at saving many lives, as well as preventing loss .
